Happy New Year Destiny Initiators!
When I say Happy New Year, I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
I pray that your entire year in 2019 feels new, refreshing, productive, and prosperous in all regards.
During January and February of each new year, people usually feel optimistic about the goals that they’ve set for the year. Goals are targets we aim for to improve the conditions of their lives and increase love and happiness.
As you set goals for 2019, allow me to give you this powerful tip! Because goals alone are only “ok”…
Different Kinds of Goals…
The goals for the year could include a range of things from holistic health goals – eating healthier, exercising, praying and reading the Bible more consistently.

Then there are relationship goals to be more thoughtful, spend more time with loved ones, and etc.
You may have some places you’d like to travel to, new and exciting experiences, or things you want to accomplish before 2019 ends in regard to your work life or entrepreneurial pursuits.
It’s a good idea to set goals because they give us something to look forward to. Setting goals make us feel productive and as if we’re on to some amazing things.

All of that is fine and dandy, but I want to share something with you that you may or may not know already…
Goals alone are only ok, but God and goals are DYNAMITE!!
If you haven’t done this already, set aside some quiet time (at least an hour) with God within the next 7 days. It’s still the first week of January so this is perfect timing.
Make sure that you have minimal distractions. You can do it early in the morning or late at night if your days are busy.
Here’s an exercise for you…
Get out a pen and some paper, preferably a journal so that you can continue the conversation throughout the year.

Before you start to write, pray this simple prayer, “God, please breathe on me in this moment and inspire me to write 5 of the most pressing priorities that I need to set for this year”.
Then write out five goals that you have been inspired by God to accomplish in 2019, but don’t just write them out as an ordinary list…
Write them out in a form of a prayer to God. Open up the lines of communication to Him, acknowledge Him, open yourself up to His power to fulfill HIS plans for the year.

I’ll conclude with a personal example of my own
Goal #1:
Jesus, Lover of my soul, 2018 was a mixed bag of emotions for me. I was excited throughout the year about pursuing my passions for you through Destined Initiatives, but stressed on the other hand because I’m working full time as an accountant, a wife, mother, and etc.
For 2019, I pray for more organization, strategy, discipline, new and healthier habits. I want to be a better woman and fulfill all the roles that you’ve entrusted to me.
With this prayer, my goal is to finalize a written plan for my stress points by January 31st to post on my vision board for visibility everyday.
Thank you for being with me. I trust that you hear my prayer. I’m assured in my heart that if I acknowledge you throughout my plans to accomplish this goal that you’ll lead and guide me to success.
Proverbs 3:6
Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow. CEV
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. KJV
Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. GNT
See how easy that is? Now you try it and tell me how it went in the comments below 😊 I seriously want to know your experience in this challenge!
