About Destined Initiatives and the Author:

I’ve always had the heart of an entrepreneur, but I didn’t have the idea or vision that I felt passionate enough to start pursuing until Destined Initiatives.

Destined Initiatives was an idea that I had in my first year of marriage. I envisioned it being a support group for Christian women. My thoughts were that anything is possible in Christ and with the support and accountability of others, women can overcome any and every challenge that they may face.

Since a few months ago, Destined Initiatives was only a far fetched idea, until I committed in my heart to become that woman that God envisioned for me to be before I was even formed in my mother’s womb.

Describing who I am starts with saying that Jesus is the center of my joy, peace, accomplishment, and everything else that is perfect for me. I can go on forever telling you about how much I adore him. I’ll just say it like this and I hope you understand me: He’s the reason that I am. I am partially conscious of who I am and what my purpose is because of my connection to him and as I become more intimate with him, I’ll discover more about who He created me to be.

The reason that I’m here with you right now is because I’ve gotten a glimpse of who I am becoming, I’m making strides towards the vision, and I have faith that I will see it manifested. I’m refusing to settle for what is the safe life that’s within the line of sight and predictability. I’m going for the walk by faith because I desire to reach my God-given potential.

I was blessed with my oldest daughter upon marriage and I’m honored to have two more children, ZZ and Jr. I’m a Sunday School teacher, treasurer, and praise and worship leader for my local ministry. In all areas of my life, I aspire to be so much more than I am today. I desire depth, effectiveness, enrichment, and so for all of the reasons listed in this paragraph, I look forward to focusing on what matters most to me. Everything in me is driving me out of my current situation into action to embark on Destined Initiatives to connect with my destiny.

Destined Initiatives is my mode of transportation from a life in which I felt obligated to spend the majority of my time on things pertaining to the status quo, in which everything else had to fall into place after the status quo priorities. This life is a tight squeeze. I’m often times stressed and in a hurry trying to get everything done and I never feel like I’m giving anything all the attention needed because I’m constantly juggling all my roles and responsibilities. So, it’s beyond time for a change.

God has confirmed that this is the move for me so many times. Right now it’s a matter of obedience to his calling for me.  As much as I’d like to think that this change in my life is an option and I can choose either or, there’s no other way out…  I’m either going to be obedient or disobedient to his instructions.

So here’s your invitation into my life. MY FAITH WALK. As you watch my journey unfold and see me face my fears, and overcome all my doubts, I hope that this blog inspires you to make your own Destined Initiatives.  I look for inspiration and encouragement from you as well.  I’m sure I’ll need it…
